Mighty Niagara Half Marathon

The Mighty Niagara Half Marathon & Hospice Dash 5K is a scenic point-to-point road race and major annual fundraiser for Niagara Hospice, staged along the Lower Niagara River and Lake Ontario in western New York. The event is organized by Niagara Hospice, whose Special Events Department coordinates the fundraiser, with race director Paul Beatty and Race Management Solutions involved in race operations. Proceeds support Niagara Hospice's nonprofit care and services.

Although the official registration system lists the event location as Youngstown, New York, the half marathon itself spans both Lewiston and Youngstown. The 13.1-mile race begins at Artpark State Park in Lewiston and finishes at Porter on the Lake Town Park in Youngstown. For a race directory that requires a single city, I would use Youngstown, New York, United States, since that is the location assigned to the event by the official registration platform and is home to the finish line and post-race festivities.

The Mighty Niagara is particularly notable for its setting. The USATF-certified half-marathon course follows the Niagara River corridor north from Lewiston toward Lake Ontario, giving runners views of two historic villages, four state parks, the Lower Niagara River and, eventually, Lake Ontario. On clear days, the organizer notes that runners can see across the international border into Canada and even the Toronto skyline in the distance.
