Akron Marathon

The Akron Marathon, often branded as the FirstEnergy Akron Marathon, Half Marathon and Team Relay, is a marquee fall road race that’s become a full weekend celebration of community pride, spectator energy, and fitness in Northeast Ohio. Since launching in 2003, it has grown beyond a single marathon into the broader Akron Marathon Race Series, with multiple events that build toward the September marquee race. A signature tradition is the painted Blue Line on the course, which guides runners through Akron’s neighborhoods and landmarks and gives the race a distinct local identity.
