Almere Weerwater Run

The Almere Weerwater Run is the largest running event in Almere, Flevoland, Netherlands, held around the city’s signature lake, the Weerwater. The event is organized under the Almere Weerwater Run race organization and is part of the wider Golazo Events running portfolio. The event was previously known as the Almere City Run, before being rebranded as the Almere Weerwater Run.

The race offers distances for a wide range of runners, including 15 km, 10 km, Rondje Weerwater 5 km, Kids Run 1 km, and business runs over 15K, 10K, and 5K. Routes are designed around the Weerwater and through Almere’s green urban landscape, giving runners a scenic mix of lakefront paths, parkland, city views, and a lively finish area at the Esplanade. The event also supports KWF Kankerbestrijding through its “Ren tegen kanker” charity programme.
