Buffalo Marathon

The Buffalo Marathon is a popular annual road race held in Buffalo, New York, typically over Memorial Day Weekend and featuring a full marathon, half marathon, 5K run and walk, kids races, and other community-oriented events. It’s known for its fast, flat course, scenic views of downtown Buffalo’s waterfront and landmarks, strong volunteer support, and community atmosphere, making it a favorite for first-timers, locals, and runners chasing Boston Marathon qualifying times. 

The event, often referred to as Buffalo Marathon Weekend, includes multiple distances and fun events such as a 5K walk, kids mini-marathon, and even a dog run called the Ruffalo Stampede. The start and finish are conveniently located near the Buffalo Niagara Convention Center, and the course highlights Buffalo’s parks, architecture, and lakefront.
