Canada Day Road Race

The Canada Day Road Race Series is a national Canada Day running series organized by Running Room, with in-person and virtual events held across Canada on July 1. The series includes in-person events in Edmonton, Alberta; Dieppe/Moncton, New Brunswick; Barrie, Ontario; Winnipeg, Manitoba; and Burlington, Ontario, plus virtual provincial options for Quebec, British Columbia, Saskatchewan, and other regions.

The series is designed as a festive, family-friendly Canada Day run rather than a single-city championship race. Depending on the city, participants can choose from short kids’ runs, 5K races, 5-mile events, 15K events, family fun runs, walks, and virtual options. The events combine a patriotic holiday atmosphere with accessible race distances, souvenir swag, finisher medals, local fundraising, and Running Room’s familiar community-race format. Many locations support local charities, including Wellspring Alberta in Edmonton, Seasons Centre for Grieving Children in Barrie, and other regional causes listed on the event pages.
