Canberra Marathon

Canberra Marathon, officially part of The Canberra Times Marathon Festival, is a major road-running weekend in Canberra, Australia, combining the country’s oldest city marathon with a broader multi-distance festival set in the heart of the national capital. Organized by Sole Motive, the event is built around the National Triangle and central Canberra, with the event village at John Dunmore Lang Place and the main longer races starting on King George Terrace. The festival format gives the event wider appeal than a marathon-only race, with a marathon and half marathon on Sunday and a 10K, 5K, and kids dash on Saturday, all on courses designed to highlight Canberra’s open boulevards, major landmarks, and civic setting.
