Fort Worth Marathon

The Fort Worth Marathon is one of North Texas’ longest-running independent marathon festivals, offering runners a fast, USATF-certified, Boston Marathon qualifying course through the heart of Fort Worth. Held annually each November, the event showcases the city’s scenic Trinity River corridor, Trinity Trails, Overton Park, and historic neighborhoods while providing an ideal setting for runners chasing personal bests or a coveted Boston Qualifier.

Known for its flat and runner-friendly layout, the Fort Worth Marathon has become a favorite among first-time marathoners and experienced athletes alike. The certified marathon and half marathon courses combine long stretches along the Trinity River with tree-lined parkways and quiet residential roads, creating a fast course with minimal elevation changes. The race weekend culminates at Trinity Park, where runners are welcomed by enthusiastic volunteers, live entertainment, food, music, and one of the event’s signature post-race celebrations.
