Generali Cologne Marathon

The Generali Cologne Marathon (Generali Köln Marathon) is one of Germany’s premier road running events and has grown into one of Europe’s most celebrated autumn marathons since its inaugural edition in 1997. Held annually in the vibrant city of Cologne (Köln), the race combines world-class organization with the famously welcoming spirit of the Rhineland, creating an atmosphere that is frequently described as part marathon, part street festival, and part carnival. Thousands of musicians, DJs, neighborhood parties, and an estimated 300,000 spectators line the course each year, making it one of the loudest and most energetic marathon experiences in Germany.
