Hamptons Marathon

The Hamptons Marathon, Half-Marathon & 5K is a long-running road-racing event based in Southampton, New York, United States, on the eastern end of Long Island. Founded in 2007 by Hamptons residents Amanda Moszkowski and Diane Weinberger, the event was created as the first marathon on Long Island’s East End. Moszkowski and Weinberger remain the race directors. The event is owned by Hamptons Marathon, Inc., a 501(c)(3) nonprofit corporation, while the race website and event operations also identify Capstone Event Group as the event-management organization.

The race has developed into one of the Hamptons’ signature running events, bringing together a full 26.2-mile marathon, half-marathon and 5K on the same race weekend. Its setting is a major part of the appeal: runners travel through Southampton and the surrounding East End landscape, combining village streets, residential areas and coastal scenery in one of New York State’s best-known seaside communities. The marathon course is USATF certified, making it suitable for runners pursuing qualifying performances as well as those using the race as a destination event. The planned 2026 marathon carried USATF certification number NY25005JG.
