Kaohsiung Marathon

The Kaohsiung Fubon Marathon is one of Taiwan’s major city marathons, held in Kaohsiung, Taiwan. The event combines a full 42.195 km marathon with a half marathon and shorter recreational events, giving runners an opportunity to experience Taiwan’s southern port city on closed urban roads. The race is officially organized by the Kaohsiung City Government Sports Development Bureau, with Fubon Life Insurance as the title sponsor and H2U/Running Biji serving as the event operator.

The marathon has become an important fixture on Kaohsiung’s sporting calendar, drawing runners from Taiwan and abroad to a city known for its warm winter climate, broad boulevards, waterfront districts and distinctive mix of urban and coastal scenery. Rather than functioning solely as an elite road race, the Kaohsiung Marathon is organized as a citywide running festival, with a full marathon and half marathon complemented by a 5 km recreational run and other activities.
