The Kitakyushu Marathon is an annual road running event held in Kitakyushu, Fukuoka Prefecture, Japan. Bringing together thousands of runners from across Japan and around the world, the marathon offers an opportunity to experience the city’s urban landscapes, waterfront scenery, industrial heritage, and vibrant local culture. Held each February, the event has become an important fixture on Japan’s winter running calendar, welcoming competitive athletes, recreational runners, and first-time marathon participants.
Located on the northern coast of Kyushu, Kitakyushu is a major Japanese port city known for its distinctive combination of modern urban development, historic landmarks, and scenic coastal areas.
