Marathon Zapopan

The Medio Maratón Internacional Zapopan, often referred to by runners as 21K Zapopan, is a major road race held in Zapopan, Jalisco, Mexico. The event is organized by the Consejo Municipal del Deporte de Zapopan / COMUDE Zapopan, with registration handled through Márcate. Despite the “Marathon Zapopan” wording, the current official event is a half marathon: 21.0975 km.

The race starts and finishes at Av. Hidalgo #151, in Zapopan Centro, in front of the municipal presidency building. The course showcases one of the Guadalajara metropolitan area’s most important cities, combining an urban race atmosphere with strong local support, competitive fields, and civic pride. The event is one of Zapopan’s signature running events and is officially recognized through Mexican athletics structures, with prize requirements referencing FMAA affiliation for winners.
