North Pole Marathon

The North Pole Marathon is one of the world’s most extreme and remote running events, held on the geographic North Pole atop drifting Arctic sea ice. Runners race a full marathon and shorter distances in subzero temperatures, surrounded by nothing but endless white ice fields and the stark beauty of the polar horizon. With shifting terrain, biting winds, and the surreal experience of running at the top of the world, the event is less about speed and more about endurance, adventure, and the bragging rights of completing one of the planet’s most extraordinary marathons.
