Run Plymouth

Run Plymouth is one of the South West of England’s premier running festivals, bringing thousands of runners to the waterfront city of Plymouth each spring. Held along the spectacular coastline of Britain’s “Ocean City,” the event combines sea views, historic harbor scenery, energetic city-centre crowds, and a vibrant race village atmosphere on Plymouth Hoe Promenade. The race weekend is designed to welcome both experienced runners chasing fast times and first-time participants looking for an unforgettable community running experience.

The event features a Half Marathon and 10K, with both races starting and finishing on the iconic Plymouth Hoe waterfront. Runners pass coastal roads, city landmarks, marina views, and cheering spectators throughout the course. The Half Marathon has become especially popular for its balance of scenic beauty and challenging rolling terrain, while the 10K offers an approachable but exciting urban route through the heart of Plymouth.

The race is organized by Taurus Events, with support from local partners including the Livewell Foundation. The event has grown into one of Devon’s biggest annual running festivals and is known for its strong local support, inclusive atmosphere, and scenic coastal setting.
