Spring Prairie Fire Race

The Spring Prairie Fire Race (often called the Spring Prairie Fire Half Marathon and 5K) is part of the Prairie Fire Race Series, a festive spring running event that welcomes runners of all levels to test themselves on flat, scenic courses through downtown Wichita, Kansas, in the United States. 

Held each spring around early May, the event includes a half marathon (13.1 miles), a timed 5K run, and a Mayor’s Friendly 5K that offers a more relaxed, untimed option for pairs or first-time participants.  All races start near Century II Plaza (225 W. Douglas Street) in downtown Wichita, giving runners the chance to explore the city’s heart at a pace that suits them.
