Stadtwerke Half Marathon Bochum

The Stadtwerke Halbmarathon Bochum is a major city road race held in Bochum, Germany, in the heart of North Rhine-Westphalia’s Ruhr region. The event brings runners into Bochum’s lively city setting, with the start and finish area near the Bermuda3Eck / Viktoriastraße district, one of the city’s best-known entertainment quarters. It is a community-focused race day with distances for adults, students, relays, and children, making it both a competitive half marathon and a local running festival.

The half marathon is run on a DLV-measured 21.0975 km course, using one introductory lap followed by three larger laps. The route is not completely flat, with the organizer listing approximately 150 metres of positive elevation gain for the half marathon, giving the race a more rolling urban profile than a pancake-flat time-trial course.
