Summit 700

Summit 700 is a high-energy trail and mountain running event built around the steep, punchy terrain of Blue Mountain Resort and the Niagara Escarpment. It’s designed to feel like a big race day experience while still keeping a grassroots trail-run vibe, with a central hub in Ontario’s largest mountain village resort and courses that repeatedly climb and descend for maximum challenge and maximum views. 

Runners can choose from multiple distances, including 5K, 10K, 21K, and 50K options (with an ultra/relay format featured in recent editions), and the event leans into the mountain theme by highlighting the climbing component, including timed hill-climb results and “King and Queen of the Mountain” style recognition within race distances. 

Beyond the racing, Summit 700 positions itself as a community day on the trails, featuring partners and local support, and it also encourages charitable fundraising, including support for Beaver Valley Outreach.
