Trollinger Marathon

The Heilbronner Trollinger Marathon is a distinctive wine-country road race held in Heilbronn, Baden-Württemberg, Germany. The event is organized by the Württembergischer Leichtathletik-Verband e.V., with Heilbronn Marketing GmbH serving as the event operator/host organization.

Known locally as the “Trolli,” the event has become one of southern Germany’s major running festivals, combining city running, vineyard climbs, enthusiastic spectators, and a strong regional wine identity. The race weekend includes a full marathon, half marathon, 10K, walking/Nordic walking, relay and duo options, plus children’s races.

The marathon route starts on Badstraße and finishes in Frankenstadion Heilbronn, taking runners through Heilbronn and the surrounding vineyards of the Württemberg wine region. The full marathon includes roughly 400 metres of climbing, while the half marathon covers 21.0975 km with about 200 metres of elevation gain. The race is scenic rather than flat, making it especially appealing for runners who enjoy rolling countryside, vineyard views, local atmosphere, and a festive finish inside the stadium.
