Valley Harvest Marathon

The Valley Harvest Marathon is one of Atlantic Canada’s long-running autumn road-racing traditions, taking place over Canadian Thanksgiving weekend in Wolfville, Nova Scotia, Canada. Based at the Acadia Athletics Complex at Acadia University, the event sends runners through the picturesque Annapolis Valley at the height of the fall harvest, passing landscapes characterized by apple orchards, farmland, horse farms and the gently rolling countryside for which the region is known.

Thanksgiving weekend is an especially fitting time for the Valley Harvest Marathon. The Annapolis Valley is the agricultural heartland of Nova Scotia and is particularly well known for its apples, vineyards and wineries. From its start and finish at Acadia University in historic Wolfville, the event gives runners an opportunity to experience both the university town and the surrounding rural communities on foot. Longer races extend well beyond Wolfville into the surrounding Valley, including areas around Port Williams, with stretches of open countryside contributing to the event’s distinctive rural character.
