Event Details
Our flat, fast course starts at sunrise with pristine views of Wrightsville Beach as your backdrop. The first five miles are great for spectators, with one lane of traffic dedicated to the runners. Once the runners have flown past them, the spectators then head downtown for the finish at the Live Oak Bank Pavilion. At mile 6.5, runners turn onto US 74 and head downtown into our DJ and Music Zone, where we provide entertainment to keep the runners motivated. By mile nine, US 74 rises with a slight incline over the scenic marsh land of Wilmington. Runners will be elevated for 1.5 miles until they reach downtown and descend downhill for over a mile. Continuing onto the beautiful views of Greenfield Lake, the course is mostly flat throughout the rest of the race. Running through historic downtown Wilmington to the river-front finish, looping back around for the finish line at Live Oak Bank Pavilion.
