The Medina of Fez, one of the most beautiful and best preserved in the Arab world, was classified as a UNESCO World Heritage Site in 1981.
It was founded in the 9th century and is home to one of the oldest universities in the world. When you come to visit the medina of Fez, you have to get lost in its many alleys and discover the different neighborhoods, tanners, scrap dealers, where magnificent buildings are nestled.
Foundouk, medersa, fountains, mosque, palace, mellah, riad, gardens, libraries... so many traces of a rich and important past. More authentic than the medina of Marrakech, that of Fez has preserved its values and traditions.
