Following a hugely successful debut in 2026, the Aberdeen Marathon returns in 2027 bigger and better than ever — now featuring a full marathon, half marathon, and 5k in the heart of the Granite City.

For 2027, the event moves into the heart of Aberdeen with a spectacular city centre start and finish area located close to Marischal College, creating an incredible atmosphere for runners and spectators alike.
The new-look routes will showcase the very best of Aberdeen, taking runners past some of the city’s most iconic locations including the River Dee, Aberdeen Beach, the 900 year-old Port of Aberdeen, and the University of Aberdeen.
