The Carmel Marathon presented by Ascension St. Vincent course starts and finishes north of the Palladium on City Center Drive. The course highlights picturesque Hamilton County, Carmel Parks, and the Arts and Design District before returning to the Center for the Performing Arts. Runners pass by the start / finish line at the halfway point, getting a boost from spectators before starting the second half of the course.
In 2024, over 21% of finishers ran a Boston Marathon qualifying time, and the Carmel Marathon has been in the top 10 of Boston qualifying events.
