Event Details
The Wakayama Jazz Marathon (formerly the Wakayama Bay Marathon with Jazz) started in 2001 as Japan's first music marathon .
The marathon takes place in Wakayama-no-ura, a Japanese Heritage site known as a treasure trove of breathtaking scenery. The course allows runners to experience history and culture firsthand while running through picturesque landscapes.
Along the course, there will be live jazz stages, with the upbeat rhythms of live music to energize the runners. At the main venue, Wakayama's local specialties, such as pickled plums, will be on sale, allowing runners to enjoy the local food culture as well.
With the cooperation of local women's groups, neighborhood associations, students, and others, we will work together as a community to make this a success!
