The Aomori Sakura Marathon starts at Nogiwa Park in the western part of Aomori City and finishes at Aoi‑Umi Park, located next to the Aomori Prefecture Tourism and Products Center (ASPAM). The course is mostly flat, with the main feature being the Aomori Bay Bridge, which has a 20 m elevation gain. The minimal overall elevation makes it ideal for runners aiming for personal bests or fast times. Along the way, participants are treated to magnificent views of Mutsu Bay from the bridge, combining scenic beauty with a record‑friendly course.
