The 63 km course winds through the gently rolling Satoyama hills of the Echigo region, showcasing the landscape that defines rural Japan. Starting from a low point of 70 meters at Seseragi Park and climbing to a high point of 516 meters at Mt. Hachikoku, runners face repeated ascents and descents across a series of small mountains. The route occasionally crosses into neighboring Ojiya City, adding variety and depth to the experience. Demanding yet deeply rewarding, this course delivers an authentic challenge and a true immersion in Echigo’s countryside.
