2026 is more scenic and built for big race-day moments, with the new route taking you past the War Memorial and up Anzac Parade. Experience the thrill of Canberra’s premier marathon course, taking you through the capital’s most iconic and scenic locations – from the Parliamentary Triangle to lakeside paths, parklands, and national landmarks.
The course loops around Parliament House, past Telopea Park, and heads down Kings Avenue to power onto Parkes Way for a stretch past the War Memorial. From there it’s back towards Barton and onto State Circle to jump on an out-and-back section along Adelaide Avenue into the green surrounds of Weston Park, followed by a lakeside run on Alexandrina Drive. Finish, heading back onto State Circle, into Brisbane Ave and finish strong on King Edward Terrace – capping off an unforgettable marathon experience.
